Patent Portfolio Spans Network Optimization, Data Transmission, and Synchronization Technologies

In October 2024, Taiwan-based Realtek Semiconductor Corp. has acquired a portfolio of 10 U.S. patents from Suzhou Pankore Integrated Circuit Technology Co. Ltd., strengthening its intellectual property assets in wireless communication and network optimization technologies.
The acquisition includes five patents in wireless communication and network systems. Key among these is Patent Application No. 17472748, titled "Device and Method with Adaptive Time-Division Multiplexing," which optimizes frequency resources by detecting real-time wireless network states and adjusting time-division multiplexing (TDM) parameters. Patent Application No. 17828107, "Method for Wireless Data Reception, and Wireless Device," enhances power efficiency by allowing devices to receive only partial beacon signals, reducing power consumption.
Patent Application No. 18338484, "Extension Methods and Wireless Communication System," enables power-saving communication between access points and multiple stations through trigger frames. Patent Application No. 18338564, "Method for Pairing Nodes," focuses on optimizing node connections by pairing network nodes with relay nodes, while Patent Application No. 18341912 facilitates data transmission within mesh networks using relay nodes.
The acquisition also includes two patents on network resource management. Patent Application No. 18338466, "Multi-Path Universal Asynchronous Transceiver and Transmission Method," conserves network resources by managing multiple log sources in an asynchronous transceiver. Patent Application No. 18338456, "Method for Switching Pairing in Mesh Network System," improves network efficiency through enhanced pairing management within mesh networks.
Realtek’s newly acquired patents also enhance firmware and decoding optimization capabilities. Patent Application No. 17563256, "Method and Equipment for Generating a Differential Upgrade Package," supports efficient firmware updates by generating upgrade packages containing only differential data. Patent Application No. 18338549, "Flow Optimization Method for Non-Real-Time Decoding Systems," accelerates data processing by optimizing the flow in non-real-time decoding systems.
Lastly, the portfolio includes Patent Application No. 18334428, "Audio Synchronous Circuit and Audio Synchronous Method," which minimizes audio delay by synchronizing digital clocks between audio devices and transmitters.
