Rebellions has jointly registered two patents with SK Hynix in South Korea.
The companies obtained registration for "Buffer memory, computation device, and system using the same" (KR2728641) in November 2024, and "Computation circuit, computation device and system including the same" (KR2779177) in March 2025, according to records from the Korean Intellectual Property Office.
The '641 patent covers a memory structure technology designed to improve parallel processing efficiency in AI accelerators or NPUs. It enables the distribution of input feature data across multiple memory banks—an interleaving method that mitigates data bottlenecks and boosts computation speed.
The '177 patent relates to a circuit architecture that connects multiple MAC (Multiply-Accumulate) processors in series and shares a common accumulator to enhance the efficiency of AI and DSP operations. The design optimizes hardware utilization and computational accuracy through shared accumulation and guard-bit–based control.
According to its latest filings, Rebellions reported ₩10.35 billion ($7.5 million) in revenue for 2024, with ₩87.17 billion ($63 million) in operating losses and a net loss of ₩234.35 billion ($169 million).
