Neontech Co. has transferred partial ownership of three Korean patents to SK Hynix Inc. in February 2024, according to Korean patent records. The transaction involves technologies related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including vacuum pad systems, blade exchange modules, and chip cleaning machines.
The patents transferred include:
KR2320338: "Vacuum Pad Capable of Easily Desticking Electronic Chips, Vacuum Chuck Table and Picker Having the Same, and Pick-Up Method of Electronic Chips by the Same."
KR2246541: "Hybrid Blade Change Module and Blade Auto Supplying Method Using the Same."
KR2216351: "Semiconductor Chip Washing Machine and Semiconductor Chip Making Method Using the Same."
The '338 patent describes a vacuum pad and vacuum chuck table designed to easily detach electronic chips. The technology forms fine patterns on the vacuum pad surface to reduce surface tension between the pad and the chip, allowing for smoother detachment and pickup. Neontech stated that this approach minimizes water-induced adhesion and improves chip transfer efficiency during the pick-up process.
The '541 patent covers a hybrid blade change module and automatic blade supply system that supports both hub-type and hubless blades. It enables automated replacement and supply of cutting blades used in semiconductor manufacturing.
The '351 patent relates to a semiconductor chip washing machine and a method for cleaning individual chips. The system performs weaker cleaning on the surface with printed markings and stronger cleaning on the opposite side, optimizing cleaning performance while protecting chip markings.
