ZEUS Korea has petitioned Korea's patent tribunal to invalidate claims of a SinSungHains patent covering a hybrid induction stir-fry pot that combines manual rotation with an automatic stirring mechanism.
In April 2025, ZEUS Korea filed an invalidation trial against KR2458217, titled "Manual rotation type induction stir-fly pot equipped with automatic stirrer," asserting that claims 1 through 4 are unpatentable.
The disputed patent describes a large-capacity induction wok outfitted with an automatic stirrer that can mix food via an external drive mechanism, while also allowing manual rotation through a handle. The design aims to reduce chefs' physical burden, lower the risk of burns or musculoskeletal injury, and improve efficiency in industrial-scale cooking environments.
This marks the first time ZEUS Korea has sought to invalidate a SinSungHains patent.
