Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has assigned six U.S. patents to Bragi Technologies in a July 2025 transaction, marking the first recorded transfer of U.S. patents from the South Korean electronics giant to Bragi, according to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office records.

Five of the patents sit squarely in Samsung's broad display hardware wheelhouse, spanning dynamic LED scanning backlights, ultra-slim edge-lit architectures for LCD panels, multi-protocol dimming drivers that can accept 0-10V analog and pulse-width-modulated control signals, lamination/film stack manufacturing for mobile device displays (including flexible OLED implementations), and multi-side light-input backlight designs aimed at thinning large TV panels while improving luminance uniformity.

Rounding out the package is a wireless communications asset covering link performance abstraction at the physical layer — technology relevant to LTE and 5G system modeling, base-station and user-equipment firmware development, and network planning or simulation tools.

The following is a list of six U.S. patents that Samsung Electronics transferred to Bragi Technologies (Source: USPTO).
