Brady Snaps Up 17 Funai Patent Applications In Fluid Control Push

Brady Worldwide Inc. on April 2, 2025, acquired 17 pending U.S. patent applications from Japan’s Funai Electric Co. Ltd., strengthening its position in fluid control and biomedical device technologies.

The applications, which remain ungranted, relate to innovations in medical drug delivery, microfluidic analysis, volumetric sensing, and liquid dispensing systems. Brady said the technologies support broader efforts in bioelectronic integration and microdevice development for healthcare and industrial use.

Because the filings are still pending, Brady may revise the claims to better align with shifting market trends and competitor strategies.

Founded in 1914 and based in Milwaukee, Brady describes itself as a global provider of solutions that identify and protect people, products, and places. Its customer base spans electronics, telecom, construction, aerospace, and healthcare industries.
