Two U.S. Patents Include Smartphone Camera and Quantum Dot Display Innovations

Korean company JNTC acquired two U.S. patents from its affiliate Jinwoo Engineering Co., Ltd. in December 2024.
The acquired U.S. patents include U.S. Patent No. 11,905,200, which details a method for manufacturing smartphone camera window glass with intricate print patterns, including rings, dots, and curves, while enhancing transmittance, reducing reflectance, and improving durability.
U.S. Patent No. 10,351,468 describes a process for fabricating protection glass for quantum dot displays with precisely formed QD holes that ensure minimal width differences between the top and bottom surfaces, improving display performance.
Between December 2024 and January 2025, JNTC also acquired 19 Korean patents from Jinwoo Engineering. Among these is Korean Patent No. 2578501, titled “Method for Manufacturing Window Glass and Carrier Film Used for Same.”
This patent, co-filed by Jinwoo Engineering and Samsung Display, covers methods for producing durable window glass and carrier films. In January 2025, ownership of this patent transferred to JNTC, making the current rights holders JNTC and Samsung Display.
